Sheriff’s Auxiliary Community Corner

June 2005:
The Sheriff’s Department accepted two new volunteers for Pahrump’s S.A.U. They are presently in training.
Welcome aboard. The membership rises to 23.
July 2005:
One major highway in Pahrump became a night DUI check point in July. Other infractions were also being checked. Six auxiliary members along with some cadets spent the night assisting our Sheriff’s Deputies.


From the Horses Mouth:
Receiving a citation for any of the following
Can add (1) demerit point to a drivers license.
(1) Too many passengers on a motorcycle.
(2) Failure to sound horn when required.
(3) Failure to give an appropriate signal.
(4) Driving through a funeral or procession.
(5) Following within 500’ of a fire truck.
(6) Driving on a sidewalk.
(7) Speeding 1-10 MPH over a posted speed limit.
