Arrests made in Eagle's Nest burglary and attempted Arson

On 07/21/2008 Nye County General Assignment Detectives were called to the Flying Eagle Gas Station at 3991 E. Kellogg Rd, Pahrump Nevada for a report of a burglary and arson.

During investigation Detectives obtained numerous items of evidence including surveillance video.

Subsequent investigation identified that Durkee was involved in the burglary. A search warrant was executed at Durkee’s residence for evidence relating to the crime. During the execution of the warrant Durkee advised detectives of her involvement in the crime. Nye County Detectives discovered numerous items of evidence relating to the burglary and arson at the residence.

Also discovered in the residence were Marijuana and numerous items of drug paraphernalia, belonging to both Durkee and McGriff.

Durkee was arrested on the charges relating to the burglary and arson at the Flying Eagle, as well as the drug charges. McGriff was arrested specifically on the drug charges. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with additional information is asked to contact Detective Boruchowitz at the Nye County Sheriff’s Office.
