Bar patron arrested for purse snatching

On March 22, 2008 Deputies were dispatched to a report of a stolen purse from inside the Paddy's Pub.

Upon arrival, Deputy James McRae spoke with the victim (Glena Casey) about what had occurred. The manager of Paddy's, Russ, who was extremely helpful with assisting with the investigation by reviewing surveilence footage. Deputy McRae was able to get a discription of the suspect (Christopher McDougall) from the video and proceeded to, along with other deputies, to locate the suspect in the area.

McDougall was located outside the bar sitting on a bench. Upon interviewing the suspect he admitted to taking the purse but was unable to recall its location. With further investigation, the purse along with part of the contents was recovered and returned to the victim while still on scene. McDougall was arrested and was booked on the charge of grand larceny 2 counts. He is being held on $10,000 bail.
